Who else is excited to get 2021 rolling?? The start of this year has been rough for me, but I know that this year is going to be amazing!

Last year, on January 2nd, we lost my grandma. She was my rock, my role model, my best friend. She had overcome SO much in her life, and no matter what the world threw at her, she met it with a big, beautiful smile on her face. Her faith was strong, her heart was kind, and her hugs were my favorite.

This set up is special to me in so many ways. Not only was this my first feature on @modwedding, but these beautiful China pieces and flatware belonged to my grandmother. Every time I see this set, it warms my heart remembering all of the meals we shared around her table using this dinnerware set. She loved feeding us!

This past Thursday would have been her 86th birthday. Even a year later, it hurts. Even a year later, I feel like “she’ll be home soon.” I miss her with every fiber of my being. But I thank her for always pushing me to do my best, for always believing in me and for always loving me. She has helped mold me into the woman I am today, and for that I am forever grateful.

I’m a sucker for table top details. I think creating a beautiful table scape is one of my favorite parts of “the job.” #ilovemyjob

We love working with talented artists like @letteredbyluth who bring all the innovative ideas to the table (sometimes I make myself chuckle). Name cards always elevate a table setting, but I think these pomegranates were JUST what we needed to sweeten thing up. I mean, come on... who’s with me?
